Some things should just work, FFS!

Workffs creates things that do what they’re supposed to do, with no headaches.

But “OH MY GOD, how?”

Great question! We test our little creations in real-world scenarios. We take our new creations to a small playground where we get to see if they can handle the jungle gym on their own. Then we take them to a bigger playground, where other creations are playing too. We sit back and watch closely, paying attention to how our creation interacts with others. Do they share? Are they rude? If they fall, do they get back up? Or do they stay on their backs, flopping about and breaking everything they can get their hands on? We correct and repeat.

David Bowie said it best…

Workffs makes themes and plugins for WordPress, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Shopify, and a few other platforms. Often these platforms push out Ch-ch-changes containing things like security patches, new features, and other important updates. And if you work with other theme and plugin makers, they push out updates as well. When this happens, most of the time it goes off without a hitch. But sometimes, things can get a little wonky. Or even broken.

What happens when an issue arises?

Oh we’re gonna blame you! Each and every time. After you feel good and ashamed for what you did wrong, we can then begin breaking you down mentally and emotionally by having you interact with Duncan, our support chatbot, for a few weeks. He’s great! If he can’t help you out after you’ve explained the situation to him a few dozen times, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours or so, whichever comes later. In some cases, we may never get back to you and it’s more akin to prayer, you know? You sort of put a need out there into the unknown and hope someone tunes in.

We hustle to address issues and updates as quickly as possible. But lets be clear, we can’t be held financially, legally, mentally, emotionally, and/or physically – nor any other “…ally” known or unknown – in any way liable for any irritation, lost sales, or any other perceived slight, grievance or loss. Using our products means that you accept the reality that technology can be a pain. In our experience, it’s the team behind the products that matters most. And in that regard, there is none hipper, smarter, and more gracious than ours.

Does my business matter?

Unfortunately no, it does not. Not in the grand scheme of things. And we’ve heard it all…

Well my business provides clean drinking water to thirsty kids in yada yada yada

Look, even if on our death beds we won’t be thinking about your business (or ours, we hope), it matters to you and it matters to your customers. You should be able to operate it intelligently and with ease. And when something breaks, you should have partners that stand behind their work, more interested in solutions than assigning blame.

Have we missed the mark? Let us know.
